What to expect when signing with MTM

This document details what to expect once you sign up for our waiting list to join Moriarty Talent Management (MTM). The information listed is important to ensure we maintain consistency and that you are familiar with our general practices and processes.

  • The information you provide to join our waiting list will be reviewed by an agent of Moriarty Talent Management.

  • Subject to meeting our criteria, we will contact you, and you will be invited to either an online or in-person audition.

  • If accepted, we will send you a Contract with Terms and Conditions to begin the onboarding process. We expect you to register on the Spotlight platform as part of your enrolment with us. We can provide further guidance and support on how to register with Spotlight. Please note, registering with Spotlight will incur a fee.

  • Please do not be disappointed if you are rejected, as we have a limited number of spaces on our books, however, future opportunities may arise to re-audition.

  • A key requirement in joining MTM is your commitment to upskilling in screen acting to increase your chances of success. As such, MTM offers a Masterclass Programme which includes exclusive access to x2 Masterclasses per month (approx. 1.5 hours per session) covering areas such as: self-tapes, coaching, script work and more. Our membership offer is £55 per month and fees are payable on the 1st of each month. Whilst our Masterclass Programme is optional, we strongly recommend participation to further develop your skillset as an artist.

  • It is crucial that you have a professional headshot so that we can use this to raise your profile and match you with casting opportunities. If you have an existing headshot, we ask that you upload this when signing up to join our waiting list so that a member of the team can review this. If you do not have a headshot, we can support you with this. Moriarty Talent Management has partnered with headshot specialists, Portfolio People, to carry out headshot sessions. Headshot days facilitated by Moriarty Talent Management will incur a fee, and details of this will be communicated to you.

  • As part of your enrolment with MTM, you agree that your headshot and profile details will be stored on our books and featured on our website and on the Spotlight platform, making them visible to prospective Casting Directors and Clients.

  • We will request your availability to carry out work. Those successful in securing work and who confirm their availability, are expected to keep this day free and be ready to fulfil their assigned role.

  • Should you be successful in securing a role, we will be in touch with a booking confirmation email and further details. If you are unsure as to whether you have been booked or not, please get in touch with us to confirm this.

  • We aim to send details of an acquired role in good time. However, this is subject to the Client providing this information, and in some instances, this information may be provided at short notice.

  • For artists under the age of 16 who have been selected for a role, it is important to note that licensing documentation needs to be completed via your local Council to carry any work out. MTM will facilitate this process, and we ask that parents/guardians work closely with our agents to ensure this process is smooth and efficient.

  • Whilst you may be successful in securing a place on our books, we cannot guarantee that you will secure work. We will review your place on our books every three months. We reserve the right to withdraw your place on our books for any reason we feel necessary.

  • Moriarty Talent Management is a commission-based agency; therefore, 20% commission will be deducted from each booking.

  • Payment for the completion of work can take up to 30 days. Payment will be made by BACS and must be paid into a UK bank or building society. Bank details must be provided to us during the onboarding process and will be uploaded as part of your profile on Spotlight and Tagmin.

  • You are expected to act in a professional manner at all times, as this will increase your chances of success. It is important to remember that you are not just representing yourself as an artist but also Moriarty Talent Management.
