Frequently Asked Questions
How can my child join Moriarty Talent Management?
To join Moriarty Talent Management (MTM), you must first sign up to join our waiting list. All applications are reviewed by our agents, and successful candidates will be invited to attend either an exclusive in-person audition or online audition. If successful, we will send you an offer of representation whilst walking you through how to register with the Spotlight platform and secure a professional headshot.
What happens if my child doesn’t get accepted?
As a bespoke agency, we intentionally keep our books small to ensure every artist receives the attention they deserve. Unfortunately, this means we cannot accept everyone. However, please don’t be discouraged—rejection is not the end of the journey. Future opportunities to re-audition may arise, and we encourage you to continue developing your child’s skills in the meantime.
What kind of support does Moriarty Talent Management provide?
We are committed to nurturing both the talent and well-being of the children we represent.
MTM offers:
- Two optional monthly Masterclasses cover self-tapes, script work, and coaching to build all important skills.
- Regular goal-setting meetings with our agents to guide talent on their journey.
- Exclusive partnership with a confidence coach to support nerves, develop confidence, and manage rejection.
- Guidance on headshots, Spotlight registration, and industry expectations to ensure your child is always industry-ready.
Do I need to pay for my child to be represented?
There is no fee to join MTM; however, certain elements of your child’s career development require investment.
This includes:
- Professional Headshots: High-quality headshots are essential for casting, and we work with trusted photographers, The Portfolio People, to provide this.
- Optional Masterclass Programme: Our £55-per-month membership offers access to exclusive Masterclasses with industry experts to help develop skills in acting and performance.
– This is not mandatory, but we strongly recommend it to maximise your child’s opportunities.
MTM operates on a 20% commission basis, which is only deducted when your child secures work.
How does the casting process work?
Once your child is accepted onto our books, their profile—including headshots, portfolio, and Spotlight listing—will be made available to Casting Directors and clients.
When opportunities arise:
- We will request your child’s availability.
- If they are selected for a role, we will send a booking confirmation email with all the necessary details.
- For children under 16, we will also facilitate licensing documentation with your local council.
While we aim to provide details in good time, please note that some castings may come at short notice.
Can you guarantee my child will secure work?
While we work tirelessly to match your child with suitable opportunities, securing work cannot be guaranteed. Success in the entertainment industry requires commitment, professionalism, and resilience. At MTM, we focus on developing talent, providing support, and positioning your child for the best opportunities possible.
Your child’s place on our books is reviewed every three months to ensure we are aligned with their progress and goals.
