Frequently Asked Questions

How can I join Moriarty Talent Management?

To join Moriarty Talent Management (MTM), you must first sign up to our waiting list. All applications are carefully reviewed by our agents, and successful candidates will be invited to attend either an exclusive in-person audition or online audition.

If your audition is successful, we will offer you representation and guide you through the next steps, including registering with the Spotlight platform (where applicable) and securing professional headshots to help launch your career in the industry.

We welcome applications from talented performers aged from childhood through to 30 years old.

What happens if I’m not accepted?

As a bespoke agency, we intentionally keep our books small to ensure every artist receives the attention and support they deserve. Unfortunately, this means we cannot offer representation to everyone who auditions.

However, please don’t be discouraged—being unsuccessful on this occasion does not mean the end of your journey. The entertainment industry is highly competitive, and decisions are often based on our current client needs as well as talent. Future opportunities to re-audition may arise, and we encourage you to continue developing your skills, experience, and confidence in the meantime.

What kind of support does Moriarty Talent Management provide?

At Moriarty Talent Management, we are committed to nurturing both the talent and well-being of every artist we represent, from children and young performers through to adults.

MTM offers:

  • Two optional monthly Masterclasses covering self-tapes, script work, audition techniques, and performance coaching to help develop essential industry skills.
  • Regular goal-setting meetings with our agents to provide guidance, support, and career development.
  • Exclusive access to a confidence coach who helps artists manage nerves, build confidence, develop resilience, and navigate rejection within the industry.
  • Expert guidance on headshots, Spotlight registration, self-promotion, and industry expectations to ensure you are always industry-ready.

Our aim is to provide personalised support that helps every artist grow both professionally and personally throughout their journey.

Do I need to pay to be represented by Moriarty Talent Management?

There is no fee to join MTM; however, certain elements of an artist’s career development may require investment.

These include:

Professional Headshots: High-quality headshots are essential for casting opportunities. We work with trusted photographers, The Portfolio People, to ensure our artists have industry-standard promotional materials.

Optional Masterclass Programme: Our £55-per-month membership provides access to exclusive Masterclasses led by industry professionals, helping artists develop their acting, audition, and performance skills.

Participation in the Masterclass Programme is entirely optional, although we strongly recommend it to help artists maximise their potential and opportunities.

MTM operates on a 20% commission basis, which is only deducted when an artist secures paid work. This means we succeed when our talent succeeds.

How does the casting process work?

Once you are accepted onto our books, your professional profile—including headshots, portfolio materials, and Spotlight listing (where applicable)—will be made available to Casting Directors and industry clients.

When opportunities arise:

  • We will contact you (or a parent/guardian where appropriate) to confirm your availability.
  • If you are selected for a role, we will send a booking confirmation with all the relevant details, including dates, times, location, and any production requirements.
  • For performers under 16, we will assist parents/guardians with the child performance licensing process and any documentation required by the relevant local authority.

While we always aim to provide as much notice as possible, the entertainment industry often moves quickly, and some castings or bookings may arise at short notice.

Can you guarantee that I will secure work?

No agency can guarantee work within the entertainment industry. While we work tirelessly to match our artists with suitable opportunities, securing roles ultimately depends on a range of factors, including casting requirements, market demand, availability, and individual suitability for a particular project.

Success in the industry requires talent, commitment, professionalism, and resilience. At MTM, our focus is on developing our artists, providing ongoing support, and positioning them for the best opportunities possible.

Every artist’s place on our books is reviewed regularly to ensure we remain aligned with their development, goals, and commitment to their career journey.
